A little bit about the people behind the blog:
My name is Rachael. I currently live in Avondale, AZ. I was born in Phoenix, AZ and have lived here a majority of my life. I left for a while when I joined the United States Marine Corps. While I was in the military, I got diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I received my treatment then got out of the military. But while I was in the hospital in San Diego, California (for 9 months), I met my Husband. We got married a year later in Manhattan, New York. Two year later we had our first Daughter, Manhattan or Mattie in October 2008. 21 months later, we had our second daughter, Kali-Rae or Kali in January 2010.
By trade, I am a Phlebotomist. But currently I am a stay at home mom. I prefer to stay home and take care of my babies instead of putting them in daycare. Which is why I started to coupon a few years back.
I had used coupons just like my parents and grandparents (here and there) but never saw the true savings to be made until I saw a show about couponing. My husband and I were in very hard financial times so I vowed to save more through coupons. I had to use many coupon sites to learn how to coupon. But before long I cut our grocery budget quite drastically and life has never been the same. We spend quite a bit less on groceries and now have name brand items.. Having a blog is very time consuming and since I am a mother and a wife, I have to take time for my family as they are the absolute most important thing in my life.
