Little Clinic: Save $5 on Sports Physicals

For those of you with kids who are gonna need sports physicals.. The Little Clinic at Fry’s is running a special promotion from July 8-22 Get $5 off.  You MUST have this coupon when you go in to get the $5 Discount. It is normally $35, so it’ll be $30 after the coupon, which is a pretty decent price for a Sports Physical.

Click here to print your SportsPhysicalCoupon from The Littel Clinic at Frys

If you wait past this time, they are SUPER BUSY.. Like Black Friday Busy from what I hear.. They will have extended hours to help accommodate everyone and Additional Staff on hand so hopefully the lines/wait won’t be too bad even if you do decide to go after July 22..

This was a coupon that was given to us from Fry’s at the blogger event.

Fry’s Blogger Meeting – Information Directly from Fry’s!!

This afternoon Susan and I met up with Fry’s for a Blogger get together.. There were 3 other local bloggers there that we hadn’t met before! It was super fun to meet other bloggers. Read til the end, it’ll be worth it!

The Fry’s meeting was about The Little Clinic & Pharmacy. I’m sure some of you have used one or the other of these amenities. BOTH are GREAT!! I must admit although I had seen The Little Clinic at my local Fry’s, I didn’t know what all they could do or how expensive they were so I was very excited to get more information on it.

Let’s start with The Little Clinic. It is a what they call ‘retail healthcare’. It is a Clinic that is located in 10 different Fry’s locations throughout the Valley (Go Here to find one near you). You can go there to get treatment for:

  • Illnesses
  • Physicals
  • Health Screenings
  • Preventive Service
  • Vaccinations & Injections
  • Other Services to include Pregnancy Test, Suture Removal, TB Skin Test, Wart Removal and More!

You might ask.. Doesn’t this attract sick people to the store? And the answer is.. The sick people are already there! I know we’ve all gone to the store when we aren’t feeling well.. Now we can stop by The Little Clinic to find what’s wrong, pick up our chicken noodle soup, then our prescription all in one place!

Another HUGE benefit is that they accept MOST insurances! AND you will only pay your insurance Regular Doctor Office Copay (not the Urgent Care Copay, which is usually quite a bit higher)

They do not take appointments, they are walk in only.  When you check in you will be able to see how many people are ahead of you in line. If there is a long line, you can leave and they will call you when you are getting close to being called for you to return.

There are 2 Nurse Practitioners or Physician’s Assistants that staff every location (they do rotate out so there is always one there). There are Medical Assistants at the front desk when you check in. They can help you with any questions, if you are wondering if The Little Clinic will be able to help you or any insurance questions you might have.

Each visit is typically about 15-20mins long.

Here is a cost comparisonfor what you would normally pay at another facility  for the same treatment if you don’t have any insurance: (this is just a general idea of what prices are)

  • Emergency Room – $600
  • Urgent Care – $200
  • Primary Care Doctor – $150
  • The Little Clinic – $79

There is a price list right on the wall for all the treatments that The Little Clinic offers, there is no surprise bill later like you end up with a lot of doctor offices.

The Little Clinic isn’t there to replace your regular doctor, but instead to help you keep your cost and possibly wait time to get into  see someone to help you when you need something.  When you leave, you will leave with a little goody bag too!

If you are given a prescription, you don’t have to take it to the Fry’s pharmacy, but if you choose to it is right there!

Speaking of the pharmacy, there are some really great things going on with the Fry’s pharmacy! All of their Pharmacist are Doctors of Pharmacy right out of school (at least those who’ve graduated after 2000).. They know not only drug interactions, but the diseases/illness that goes with each drug. They are available to ask if you need help with what over the counter medication you may need if you are unsure of what to use when you aren’t feeling well.

Did you know that Fry’s Pharmacy will price match ANY other store for your prescription even Club Card stores (ex. Costco)?  All you have to do is tell them where you say the lower price and they will call to verify or look it up and they will match it, which is awesome because there is no cost to join Fry’s, like there is with some other stores!

The pharmacy takes competitor coupons for prescriptions as well!!

They now have Instant Notifications coming from the pharmacy.. So if you have a prescription ready to pick up you can get a automated phone call, text or email to let you know. This system will also let you know if the medication you are trying to get filled is out, so it won’t be ready to pick up. You can set this up by either calling your local pharmacy or letting them know when you drop off your prescription.  You also earn 50 Fuel Points per Prescription Filled.

Also, now you can set up Auto Refill for your prescriptions. Your prescriptions will automatically be filled 4-5 days before you run out (you can alter this time to work for you) and you will get a notification to let you know that it is ready to be picked up.

Fry’s gave us (2) $25 Fry’s Gift Cards to giveaway, which I will get set up soon!!
